Happy New Year beautiful people!

I’m kicking off the new year with a series of talks on my recent exploratory expedition to the Pamirs Mountains in Tajikistan. Further details below. If you’re in the area come say howdy ho 👋.

In August 2022, Alex Metcalfe and three other alpinists travelled to the Rushan Range of the Pamir Mountains in Tajikistan to explore the Zaroshkul Glacier and attempt a new line on one of the Range's highest peaks.

Tuesday 10th January 19:30 London Talk With the Austrian Alpine Club (UK)

The meeting will be held on the second floor of The Civil Service Club, 13-15 Great Scotland Yard, London SW1A 2HJ, between Northumberland Avenue and Whitehall. The nearest tube stations are Embankment or Charing Cross. Members and guests should sign in at reception.

Before the lecture attendees are invited to join the speaker and other members for a meal and/or a drink, or just to chat, in the CSC bar, opposite reception, from about 18.00h.

Wednesday 11th January 19:00 With the Alpine Club & Eagle Ski Club

The venue will be the upstairs room of the Nova Scotia pub, Cumberland Basin, Hotwells, Bristol BS1 6XJ, starting at 7.30pm. You are very welcome to join us for a beer and food in the bar from 6.30pm.

All are welcome. No charge for AC & ESC members and students. Guests are welcome but are asked to make a donation of £5 to the Montane Alpine Club Climbing Fund.
